Friday 3rd April - Home Learning

Thanks God! its Friday. - Home | Facebook

Good morning Year 2,

It is our last day of the term and what a term it has been. We are so proud of the way everyone has adapted to home learning, which is a situation that has taken us all by surprise. Thank you for working so hard, not just us Year Twos but also your families too!

Thank you for wishing Lexi a happy 7th birthday yesterday, she certainly had a very special day!

Here are your tasks for today:
1. Imagine what it would be like if you were a pirate searching for treasure. Create a descriptive diary entry about ‘The day in the life of a pirate’.

2. Play ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf?’

3. Add a minute hand onto your clocks. Make sure the minute hand is longer than the hour hand. Keep the minute hand pointing to the top of your clock, as that will show it is o'clock.

4. What is the time on these analogue clocks? The hour hand is the shorter hand.

5. Can you solve these challenge time word problems?
The Easter bunny fills her basket at 6am. It will take her 4 hours to deliver the eggs. What time will the Easter Bunny finally have an empty basket?

Mrs Gray is been painting her bathroom. In one hour she is going to have a break, it is 10 o'clock now. What time is she going to have her break?

Mrs Leaker arrives at school at 8 o'clock. She left her house one hour before she needed to be at school. What time did Mrs Leaker leave her house?

Our Star of the Day
Our Star of the Day is Ella, because she really got into the role of her character today.

Today's Reflection
We have done it Year 2, yes! We have all made it to the very end of the term. Everyone has done so well persevering with home learning. Thank you for sending in your clock work photos, we are so encouraged to see you can now read o'clock times.

We shall look forward to hearing all about the fun Easter adventures you get up to.

Have a wonderful Easter holiday!

From
Mrs Triggs and Mrs Leaker
