Good morning Year 2,
Today is going to be another beautiful, hot sunny day. Make sure you find some time to enjoy the weather whilst it lasts.
Fact for the day - Mosquitoes are the most dangerous animal to humans on the planet. The second most dangerous animal to humans are other humans.

Reading
Today is our last session looking at Where’s My Teddy. We would like you to mute the video and use the pictures to
retell the story in your own words.
The Elves and the Shoemaker
Turn to page 9, which require you to explore words with Jas. This involves highlighting specific words in the text and then matching them to their meanings. The link for this pack is below.
Shape patterns
We are continuing our shape series of lessons using Oak National Academy. Each lesson contains quizzes and an online teaching lesson.
Choose 'Lesson 8: To describe the position of an object'

Geometric Art
Today we would like you to create a geometric picture. This fits into our math learning as it focuses on lines and shapes.
To form this place tape onto a large sheet of paper to create a series of
intersecting lines of various lengths and at various angles. Then decorate each shape with paint, pens or crayons. Below are some examples.
Star of the Day
Our Star of the day is Conrad, because we love the way he applied his understanding of geometric art to create a geometric t shirt - great job Conrad!
Daily Reflection

The highlight today has been looking at your geometric patterns. We have enjoyed seeing the shapes you have created and the neatness of your designs.
