Reading
Please spend 10 minutes reading and respond to the appropriate question below.
Fiction text - can you find examples of powerful verbs? What do they tell you about a character, their actions or the setting?
Non-fiction text - can you think of another text that is similar to this one? What are the similarities and differences between them?
Rainbows, rainbows everywhere!
Today we are going to focus on the features of non-fiction texts. We would like you to read the non-fiction rainbow text again on pages 5-7. Then turn to page 9-11, which requires you to complete some reading challenges which include: features of the text, searching for features in another non-fiction text and writing a book review.

Extra challenge:
1. A third is bigger than a half. True or false?
2. Fatim picked 15 strawberries but ate a third of them on the way home. How many did he have left?

Star of the Day
Our Star of the Day is Conrad, this is for his amazing drawing of himself as a baby! Conrad you are an amazing artist!
Daily Reflection
It is so good to see lots of you are flying through the fraction lessons, well done for drawing fractions out and solving them practically. The answer to Reggie's riddle was a kangaroo. Our highlight of the day has been your artwork. Wow! We have some impressive artists in our class. Please do look at their drawings below and Conrad's above. If you have not had the opportunity to do this, it is not too late, you can complete this task another day.
